Allison Holker dancing Again After tWitch’ Boss’s death
After a span of eight months since the tragic passing of Stephen “tWitch” Boss, the cherished DJ of the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” and a television personality who gained fame through “So You Think You Can Dance,” his spouse and fellow dance partner, Allison Holker, has made her way back to the dance floor.
“Celebrating her comeback to dancing, Holker composed a caption to go along with a video she posted on her Instagram page the previous Saturday.”
In the video, Holker’s face radiates with joy and vigor as she dances to Missy Elliott’s “Bomb Intro/Pass That Dutch,” accompanied by her friend and choreographer Brittany Russell.
“I found myself overcome by a surge of emotions—simultaneously nervous and exhilarated. Yet, through it all, dance has remained a steadfast companion in my life… even now, and for that, I’m profoundly thankful,” she wrote, extending her gratitude to Russell for crafting an enjoyable and secure atmosphere.
This marks the first instance, following Boss’s passing, that Holker has posted a dance video on her Instagram page. Previously, the couple regularly showcased choreographed routines on their popular social media platforms, giving glimpses of their synchronized dance performances within their home.
On the same Saturday, Russell also shared the video on her Instagram Stories, expressing her immense pride in Holker. “In a heartbeat, we leaned on one another and danced,” Russell added, emphasizing that the genuine smiles in the video captured the essence of the moment.
Boss tragically passed away by suicide in December 2022. The Los Angeles County Coroner confirmed his death in the suburb of Encino, as reported by CNN. He was 40 years old.
Holker and Boss, who first connected as standout dancers on Season 7 of “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2010, blossomed into a romantic relationship. Their love culminated in marriage in 2013, and they were blessed with three children.
“Stephen had a way of illuminating every room he entered,” Holker shared in a statement conveyed to CNN following Boss’s passing. She praised him as the bedrock of their family, an exceptional husband and father, and a beacon of inspiration to his fans, emphasizing his unwavering commitment to love and positivity.”
