Travis Scott announces tour 2023 Officially, Utopia – Circus Maximus Tour
Travis Scott announces tour 2023 | His first headlining tour since the Astroworld tragedy will take place across North America this fall
Travis Scott has revealed his plans for a North American tour in 2023. The tour, named Travis Scott Presents Utopia – Circus Maximus, is scheduled for this upcoming autumn. The journey kicks off on October 11 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and concludes on December 29 in Toronto, Ontario. Notably, these dates differ from the ones inadvertently disclosed by Live Nation earlier this month; they had shared the information briefly on social media and ticket pages before removing the content. Ticket sales for the tour commence tomorrow at 10 AM local time. Refer to the comprehensive list of tour dates below.
In early August, Scott made a memorable performance at Rome’s Circus Maximus concert. During the event, he showcased several tracks from his Utopia album and even welcomed a surprise guest appearance by Kanye West. The intensity of the performance led to ground vibrations that alarmed local residents, who mistook it for an earthquake. This occurrence triggered discussions about the possibility of banning concerts at the historic venue in the future.
Travis Scott Presents Utopia – Circus Maximus marks the rapper’s first major tour since the unfortunate incident at the 2021 Astroworld Festival, which tragically claimed ten lives and left numerous individuals injured. In late July, the Houston Police Department released a comprehensive report on the incident. According to the report, Scott mentioned being advised through his earpiece to conclude the show due to the escalating situation. He later clarified that he hadn’t fully grasped the severity of the circumstances until later.
Following the police report, a Harris County grand jury concluded that Scott would not face criminal charges regarding the events at the festival. However, both Scott and Live Nation are currently facing multiple civil lawsuits related to Astroworld, although some of these cases have already been settled.
